Making malas has become a passion of mine. My very first mala means the world to me, it is the hot pink one from Nintaanzi which helped me through an incredibly difficult time when my mum moved into the light. Just holding a mala in my hand fills me with so much happiness and gratitude and puts a huge smile on my face, it instantly makes me feel like sun rays are entering every cell of my body.

Years ago I finally learned how to make one in a workshop in Munich and then again in another workshop in Munich with Jai Jewellery one day after my dad moved into the light. He had gemstones like an amethyst, mountain crystal or an aquamarin in my parents’ living room and I just loved looking at them and holding them.

I love getting strands of gems, sorting through them, feeling them and deciding which one will be in a mala. Even the tassels are handmade by me. Usually I make them during the half moon and full moon days and listen to the Gayatri Mantra, which is one of the most powerful mantras. When completed I take them to the ocean, dip them in and hang them in the sun or if the mala have moon stone included I hang them into the moon light for the to get charged.

If you would like to have your individual mala please do write me an email info@alexandrayoungyoga.com. I look forward to making you your individual mala. Hint: the price depends on the gem stones we will be working with.

Below are a few examples of malas which I have been creating in the past months.
